Sioux Falls, SD·Homeschool + Hybrid Learning
Flexible. Focused. Learner-Driven.
A modern, high-accountability learning studio for teens aged 13–18 in the Sioux Falls area — built for families who want structure without rigidity, and time for pursuits like entrepreneurship, athletics, and creative work.
The Challenge
You might be searching for something that doesn't quite exist yet. That's why we built Hive.
Your child doesn't need a full 7–8 hour school day, but still needs somewhere purposeful to be.
Your learner needs accountability—but not constant hand-holding or traditional instruction.
They're craving community and connection with peers who take their work seriously.
What your teen needs isn't another classroom.
It's a cohort —
peers who take growth seriously and hold each other to it,
in school, in their pursuits, in who they're becoming.
We built Hive for that.
The Solution
Your child brings their curriculum. We provide the environment and systems that help them thrive.
Hive doesn't replace your family's educational vision—it amplifies it. Every learner brings their own goals, their own work, and their own path. We help them show up and follow through.
But honestly
If none of that bothers you, you're probably in the right place.
How It Works
This builds real ownership—not just task completion.
Our System
Our custom tracker makes progress visible. Instead of grades, we focus on the things that actually drive long-term growth.
The Five Pillars
Hive watches your teen's life across five categories — not just academics. Every goal they set is tagged to one of these five.
The pillars keep the program from collapsing into academics-only.
Fit & Expectations
We partner with families—we don't replace them.

Take the 5-minute fit quizThe Schedule
A designed arrival window, not free time. There's always something to walk into — a question on the board, a collaborative puzzle, a tinkering table — built with a natural entry point at any moment. Connection on purpose, not by accident.
A brief discussion prompt. No right answers. The cohort warms up thinking together and signals: minds on.
Small pods meet. Each learner sets their weekly goals and names what done looks like — witnessed by their pod members, owned by them.
Deep focus. Phones away. An hour of independent, distraction-free work on individual goals and curriculum.
A real reset, not just free time. One learner each week leads from a rotating menu — a group game, a creative sprint, a movement challenge. Thirty minutes is generous on purpose; community built in a hurry isn't community.
Collaborative Mondays. Writers Workshop Tuesdays and Thursdays. Book Club Wednesdays. Creative Hour Fridays — all optional. Silent work is always still an option for anyone who needs it.
Learners care for the shared space together. Non-negotiable. Responsibility is part of the culture, not a chore chart.
A closing ritual. Reflection on the day. Sent off with intention, not just a dismissal.
Launch Year
Our first 12 families will pilot Hive with us in our launch year. Our first cohort shapes the culture every future member will inherit—and we make sure they're recognized for taking the leap.
